Description

Leading Edge Universal Upgrade enhances the capabilities of WorkSharp Professional Precision Adjust knife sharpeners with features of the Leading Edge sharpening platform. The Universal Upgrade includes:

Leading Edge Core with a magnetic working table (one magnet block) and a three-point knife guide
Long Blade Magnetic Support (two magnet blocks)
Vertical Support/Scissors Clamp - a dual-purpose attachment that can be used for knives that don't remain stationary and for scissors

The Universal Upgrade utilizes three removable magnetic blocks measuring 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.25 inches with powerful N52-grade neodymium magnets. The Knife Guide allows you to position a knife precisely and symmetrically when flipping. The Universal Upgrade is equipped with a set of front screws for attachments. A 2.5-mm hex Allen key or screwdriver is required to work with the attachments (not included).

About Leading Edge Platform

Leading Edge Sharpening System is the only 3D-printable sharpener that can sharpen knives, scissors, and other edged tools. It has a magnetic knife holder, a three-point knife guide, optional accessories such as vertical knife support, scissors clamp, long blade attachment, fine-tuning, convex stone holder, and various knife clamps. Leading Edge Sharpening System works extremely well for almost any sharpening scenario, outperforming many high-end sharpening systems currently on the market.

Designed for hobbyists and makers, Leading Edge Sharpening System is based on traditional concepts: 6" sharpening stones, modular approach, and standard diameter rods. Leading Edge Core is a major step towards true "cross-platform" sharpening systems designed by Burt Joubert, creator of GearConnect, the bridge between famous sharpening systems and clamps designed for other platforms. Leading Edge Core goes far beyond that – customers can create hybrids where two sharpening systems are fused together. Work Sharp Precision Adjust becomes the first habitat for Leading Edge Core Upgrade, a key element of symbiosis. Leading Edge Core Upgrade accepts attachments designed for Leading Edge Sharpening System such as vertical knife support, scissors clamp, long blade attachment, etc.

This thing is a beast. The magnets are super strong. I'll probably be using this as my primary knife holder for my fixed angle sharpening system. I love it.

Have used the new magnetic holder a few times, impressed with the magnet's strength holds the knife really well no slipping, I like a magnetic holder better than the typical jaws holder but I do have your upgrade for that too. I like to take the knife out of the sharpener to inspect the edge while sharpening, with the jaws you have to take the whole assembly off to inspect. Glad I bumped it to you guys who have solved the stability problems with the worksharp

Bestellvorgang an sich war ok, Lieferzeitraum/Zustelldauer recht lange und zusätzlicher Zoll fiel an. Wußte ich schon vorher, daher bin ich in Summe sehr zufrieden.

This table is a definite upgrade to the very sorry factory table. It is much more secure, allows for a variety of blade sizes and shapes, and is a pleasure to use. I definitely had buyers remorse after using the WS PP but this upgrade makes it so much better.

Very powerful magnets, almost too much so. Tried using this attachment and it literally ripped the abrasion bar off the handset. I guess I need to review the video again and practice more. So far, not liking the attachment, especially for the high cost associated with owning one.
