without this, trying to sharpen my 8" chefs knife was basically useless, their was so much wobble that there was no way the angle was consistent. But, I did give it a go. With this installed it was so much more stable, I got a great edge on it. Best few bucks I have ever spent!!

Makes the clamp MUCH more stable on the worksharp precision sharpener! Does not flex at all!

In all honesty, I don't know why Work Sharp didn't include something like this support block. I had used my Precision sharpener for quite some time before I saw this on a YouTube video. It's a game changer. I had used an adjustable support that I found on Amazon for 3x the price of this. Buy this one! It is 100% worth it. You'll get a more consistent edge. Especially when you're using lower grits and need to move some steel. It does take an extra second to rotate the blade because you need to pop the clamp out. Get used to it and it's just a part of the process. 10/10 would recommend!

High Quality I bought the V-Block Clamp mainly to test the quality of Gritomatic’s product for future purchases. I am highly pleased with this clamp. It took 90%+ flex out of the plastic knife clamp arm, making sharpening much more precise. Shipping was prompt and fast delivery. 10/10 Gritomatic

CLAMP SUPPORT WORKS There is a real wobble and the clamp support works efficiently in the design. Works well. Will take longer to turn over, but not difficult to do so - just have to reset the clamp support each time turning over.

Must have if you own the Work Sharp Precision Adjust I currently own 2 Work Sharp Percision Adjust sharpeners ,And had problems with the v lock moving while sharpening causing issues with sharpening . The block support wedge is a must have for the unit . It turns an ok sharpener into a top notch unit .

It just works. Simple and more elegant in design than others out there. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for two reasons… One, the texturing on the back and the round area on the front should IMHO be slightly more pronounced, with a more tactile “feel” so when you flip the knife you can manipulate the block support without looking. And two, I wish there was a color selection, like the knobs for the accessory stone holders. Other than those two minor quibbles it’s perfect. Great job!
