Like most people hunting for these holders, I wanted the ability to be able to purchase other brands of sharpening stones. These arrived very quickly and although I haven't used them yet, they seem like a perfect solution for what I want to do. Very reasonably price and well made.

6" Stone Holders for Wicked Edge

I have been thinking how to make something to hold the common stones and been searching for other stone holders to adapt for a long time . Finally found this company and these ... I am so happy and pleased !!! These also hold the wider stones and the even wider plates . I had bought two WE clones off of Ali-Express and the stones and stone holders that came with them were not very good . The price of the WE stones-stone holders are insane-rediculous . These let a person buy better stones in a bigger variety at a small fraction of the cost . I intend to buy a couple more sets in case they stop making them or I lose , break these 🙂 great quality items 👍

This is a no-brainer upgrade to my Wicked Edge sharpening system. The extra 50% of abrasive area gives me many options in what stones I want to use and reduces the time creating the ideal edge.

These LE stone holders absolutely revolutionized the way I usey Wicked Edge. After spending many hundreds of dollars on Wicked Edge stones, I now have the freedom to buy whatever 6 inch stones or strops I like at a fraction of the cost. And they work amazingly well. The only downside is you'll need to check your angles between stones to ensure it stays consistent since some stones can be thicker than others, but this is hardly a big deal. Pro tip: I attached a couple baragnets along the back of these handles so I can magnetically attach my angle cube to the holders to check for accuracy. This is an enormous help since I'm checking angles each time I switch stones or strops. Also, be sure not to tighten the screws too hard; they only need to be tight enough to keep the stones from sliding out. I also recommend applying some grease to the screw threads to extend their life, since they'll be turned frequently. I just can't believe how amazing these are. And although they are lightweight, I see no reason they shouldn't hold up for many years. I plan to buy more soon.

Almost perfect! I bought these holders though I was unsure if they would work with the stones I have. They are a very good fit. If these holders were double-sided they'd be pretty much perfect.
