6" x 1" Stropping Pad is made of top grain cowhide leather with PSA tape for mounting on a empty blank (not included).
In top grain leather, the outermost area of the hide where the hair was is sanded during the processing phase to get rid of imperfections. Strops made of top grain leather have uniform and flat surface. Top grain strops are universal - it's easy to apply any compound including solid paste.
