Suehiro Shiramine 6000 sharpening stones are used for finish sharpening knives on Hapstone and Edge Pro knife sharpeners. All Shiramine 6000 stones are 5-6mm thick, 21-24mm wide, and are mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks.
Shiramine 6000 is part of Suehiro traditional Waterstone series which includes Kouga 3000, Rika 5000, Shiramine 6000, W8 8000 (Junpaku) and G8 8000 (Takeiro). These stones are not available in wide range of grits. Traditional series does not compose the set of even progression but offers "repository" of premium stones to make a custom stone set.
Shiramine 6000 is preliminarily lapped and does not require lapping after purchase.
Shiramine 6000 should be used with water as a lubricant. Do not soak Shiramine 6000 stones in water. Just splash, or use a water spray. Never store stones in water. Never dry stones near heat.
