Description

Gunny Shines is a new game-changing stone cleaner & honing fluid. Gunny Shines is a graphene/TiO₂-based water-based suspension with a proprietary formula that helps lift the metal out of the stone and prevents swarf loading when used during sharpening.

Gunny Products continually pushes the envelope. Without giving away proprietary information that brings the magic together, it’s the way the graphene and titanium dioxide are suspended with the other proprietary ingredients that make the difference. The manufacturing process produces something that others have yet to do.

It only takes a couple of drops to clean or use as a honing fluid.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is recommended to use with Gunny Shines.

All Gunny products are top notch. Gunny Shines cleaned up my stones phenomenally. My edges are mirrors. Clean stones equals clean results!

Pretty good though it seems to dry a little faster than water. It does seem to help keep stones from loading as much and I feel like I cut faster using it, though that could be a factor of the dish soap I was to my water adding lubrication that reduces the grit's bite with my usual practice. All in all I like it but I'd have to change the way I lubricate my stones while sharpening or I'd run through this stuff way too fast. I've experimented with mixing it at around a two to one ratio with water and a couple drops of dish soap, but it seems to lose it's effectiveness when diluted. I do like it, but it's a bit pricey for the way I sharpen. Maybe I'll just use a few drops to clean my stones when I'm done instead of using it as a sharpening lubricant.

A must for cleaning stones! I was not familiar with Gunny Shines and received this as a free gift from Gritomatic after a major purchase. This product was easy to use, just a few drops and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and wallah, stones look good as new. I used this on the Edge Pro Diamond Matrix set of 6. Thank you Gritomatic!

This definitely seems to help for lubrication with my diamond matrix, venev & poltava metallic cbn stones. But I still prefer using a magic eraser to get them super clean.

Works really well as a lube and my stones are much easier to clean after using this, it's really a top notch product. My only gripe has nothing to do with the product but with the label. It's not laminated so basically disintegrated upon contact with water. Hopefully better labeling is in the works because the product is very, very good!

Use as a stone lubricant during sharpening I use this primarily as a stone lubricant but I cannot deny that using it this way makes it very easy to keep my stones clean. Does not dry out as fast as soapy water. Keeps stones from loading. I use it primarily on Venev diamond matrix stones. Smell is not bad but is noticeable.

Works well but evaporates even faster than water. Evaporation is my main gripe with water so that makes this a definitely no go as a sharpening lubricant unfortunately.

Gunny Shines Stone Cleaner and Lubricant This came with an order of Gritomatic stones I purchased. Didn't know what it was or what to expect but I ended up trying it and I was actually quite impressed. I recommend trying it. LOL...maybe order some of those Gritomatic stones (which btw are exellent products), and maybe they send you a sample.

Best in Lube/Cleaner on the market! As with all other Gunny products, this sharpening stone cleaner does exactly that and then some! Made my TSProf virtually brand new with an extra special ingredient, whatever Scott cooked up in the lab definitely works and added a little special spice to my stones that make them noticeably enhanced! Will buy this again, most definitely recommend!
